At Antrim we recognize the importance of our parents trust and ensuring their confidence in our centre to keep their child safe. Therefore, since March 9th Suneetha, Parastoo and myself took the unprecedented measure to limit ourselves between home and the centre respectively. An important precaution to minimise contact with others in our community.
Your favourite and trusted Educators Suneetha and Parastoo and myself all want to convey to parents that we going above and beyond to keep your children safe at Antrim.
Several precautions and policies have been implemented and strictly followed including extra hygiene procedures for the Corona-virus. These were made in conjunction and directives from the Department of Children Services and Health Department.
The procedures in place begin with taking staff and children temperature on arrival.
Extra hand washing for children and staff throughout the day.
Setting up Hand gel indoors and outside for staff/Parents.
Extra cleaning for taps, toys, all surfaces,toilets and door knobs and light switches.
Social distancing for activities, meals, including educators keeping a distance trying not to invade a child’s space unless necessary.
Childcare centres everywhere remain open for our brave front line healthcare workers, the emergency services, and all of our essential workers within our community.
Parents who are fortunate enough to work from home may decide to keep their children with them. This is understandable in these stressful and troubling times.
However, our centre like all others need parents to continue with this essential service that supports many vulnerable children and families in our community.
All Childcare centres are still a safe haven for your children according to the health advise and the department of children services.
Unless forced to shut down we remain open to all!
